I'm so excited! Last week I was getting some parts for my Savage and the owner of my LHS started asking me questions about my R/C knowledge. Turns out they're in need of someone to fix broken trucks when they come in and was wondering if I wanted to help them out. I jumped on it and said yes and they said they would call me and let me know! I just got off the phone with her and she wants me to start tommorow!!! I gotta go up there after work and were gonna work out a schedule since I already have another job and this will be part time but I'm very excited!

sounds sweet! i wish i could get a job at my LHS its like a 2 minute walk from my school. Ya thats right I'm in school. lol. I could do so much there but any way congrats and have fun!!

I'm gonna try to get a job at my local Hobby Town USA this summer... they arent open for business yet, but as soon as they are, i will get an app.

my hobby shop isnt to friendly well the one guy is but the guy they have to work onthe trucks is kinda an ass, o well wish i could take his place i could probably do better and probably know more than him too.

I wish I had the knowledge to do that.
I am still learning though!!!

My newest retail store is in the same shopping center as our local Hobbytown. I LMAO when one of the kids that works there said he would send people to my store so I could help them decide what they need to buy to fix there RCs.

I can see it now.
InkJet cartridges, Software, Computer and RC Repair.

Congratulation on your new job. You will learn a lot working with the public. Dont forget to mention RCNT to everyone.

If you run a pc store, you should use your wholesale/resaler's license and start selling kits and rtrs!!!

If i do get a job there, i wont try to be one of the ignorant bastards that thinks i know everything and you dont, then dont want to do business with anyone... i think thats what closed our last hobby shop... those bastards!

sounds good for a shop to hire knowledge yougsters instead of these old foogies that can only help if you got a part #. or they only know trains. don't get me wrong the old guys are helpful, if "you got a part number, i can't help you if you ain't got a part #."

Congrats on the new job, and remember to treat all your customers equally!

^^LMAO!

I hope all goes well today. From what I've seen of the broken vehicles they have sitting there it's mostly Maxx's, a few buggies, and a savage so iI shouldn't have a problem repairing those since that is mostly what I run. I can't wait!!

Good luck on your new job. If they can't wait to get help or get a question answered.....send em here..Shameless plug.

Congrats. I've been trying to put something together maybe to open my own track and start off with some small inventory in a little shack. Just haven't had time to really sit down and put things together.

BTW, you didn't mention the discount on parts you'll get, hope it's a good one!

I tried getting a job at my hobbytown USA but you have to be a pretty boy or a lil rich boy...or just a stuck up prep..so I do my shopping on the net...

^^lol yea man, i have a lot of those kind of people in my town, they suck. i live in the rich part of new jersey, so all the kids are pretty pretty and stuck up. if i was like that my dad would kick my ass...lol...jk...but seriously... I'm still working on my LHS to get a job. I'm only 15 and they said that i have to wait one more year.

lol, damn, that sounds EXACTLY like my LHS. The younger guys are cool as hell and they know they're stuff. but the owners don't seen to know nearly as much and wouldn't have a clue about something new unless I have a part number.

yeah they all are smart and know there stuff but alot of respect and being nice goes a long ways..at least with me any ways...
