Pro-Line susp

and.........thats it...me thinks....

get some tires??

i seem to like the stock tires...

hmmm Maybe get some bumbers or skid plates

Maybe a good set of shocks. I use the Dynamite/Losi shocks and love em. Also a good air filter and fuel filter if you have not already done them.

And get some good springs if you do get shocks like the trinity blue springs

Good call Matts! I forgot about the steering servo. I also use the hiteck 645 mg, its a great servo and not rediculously expensive either. Then you can move the stock steering servo to the throttle brake position for better throttle and braking.

OK...
so I'm thinking ill get that servo...and whats a servo saver? and how much is that?

i already have a motor saver air filter and a fuel filter

what exactly does it "save" ....what are some good shocks? i might just get some shocks...or rebuild them? i want them to be stiffer....but not too stiff....for normal bashing and jumping and racing too...

It saves the servo from being stripped or damaged in a crash wth objects that dont move or in a roll over

Rob

if you want shocks, you should look at the big bores, IMO they are the best of all the performance products that Traxxas makes for the maxx. I have heard good and bad about the associated shocks. if you really want to spend some lettuce, look into the progressive shocks.

:stupid:

hmm lettuce is something most 15 yrs dont have...so cheap goes for me!

If I had a stock T-Maxx and $170.00 I would get.(Assuming you have a good air and fuel filter.)

why the shock oil?

wait...should i get big bores? or just refill stock shocks?

In theory the stronger the springs the heavier the oil. With heavy springs and light oil the truck will tend to bounce. Thicker oil will help dampen the compression and rebound.

I tend to rebuild or maintain my shocks about every 5-10 tanks of fuel while bashing and after a good day of racing. Sometimes I will need to change the oil depending on the weather from the morning till the afternoon if the heat changes drastically.

You will be amazed how fast you will go through a bottle.

I would get the Big Bores if you have the money.
I have used the same set on 2 Maxxes so far and have not had any caps pop off.

The first thing I did when I got my New Maxx 2.5 was install the BB Shocks, New steering servo and 6v battery pack. I didn’t even start the engine until this was done.

But lets say if i got the trinity shock springs....and refilled my stock shocks with 40wt would that be good? if not..ill just get big bores and some trinity springs...and then after a little wear on them....ill refill em

Go for the Big Bores. Buy Trinity Blue springs: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXZH46&P=7

I personally would go with a 60wt oil on that shock and spring combination.

Either way, get the shocks, springs, and oil. You won't be disappointed.

I recommend a slightly different servo for the steering duty. Buy the Digital version of the HiTec hi torque servo. I run the HS-5645MG. It produces 169 oz-in of torque on a 6v system. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXUZ80&P=0 you won't be disappointed.

You will need the Kimbrough servo saver for this servo.

Hey Skymaxx just wondering is that a direct plug in servo ? i know some are and some arent just wondering need a servo for my little truck

Rob

It uses the Futaba style plug similar to the TRAXXAS plug, thus it will plug directly into the TRAXXAS receiver. I had to make a small adjustment to the "keyhole" on my NOVAK receiver to handle the plug (that involved removing a very small amount of the plastic around the opening).

hmm i was thinking if i should get a bet reciever or radio?
