I hate breaking in motors... It takes too much time!! I have to do it tho, have to have my t-maxx ready for pismo this weekend.. Bought the paddles, and am gluin them as we speak. c'mon cool off already....

is it too much to ask for a motor that will stay running?!?!? :flamer:

Breaking in an engine is the birth of a car! if you do it properly your car will fly if you dont it will die! Take it easy and take your time and you will be glad!

I have to break in my savage today. But like you guys said its everybit woth it.

*worth*

I actually enjoy breaking in my engines.
1. It means I got something cool and new
2. It means I get 3 hours of truck playing without breaking parts. Even though it is slow driving.
3. It means the old engine is dead and I just got MORE POWER!

It's a good time to spend bonding with your engine before you go bashing. It's well worth it my friend.
:cheerful:

Last night my truck was soooo asking to be entered into the local discus throwing contest. If it wasn't the motor not wanting to stay running, it was the failsafe coming on every 5 minutes. I went thru about 4 different NIMH battery packs trying to keep that thing happy, finally switched to fresh alkalines, I think I need a new failsafe!:microwave

I don't like breaking in engines either. It takes a while and yoyu can only go slow. I like to start it up and go...oh well...the breakin is very important though.

Yeh, you must break you engine in if you want it to have a long life!

Man I truley HATE this thing. Factory settings are horse poop!! On tank #6 this thing still stalls every other go at the gas!!

On tank six you can probably start to tune a little bit. But only go in 1/16 or 1/8 increments. Good luck!

Yes tank six should be a safe spot to start tuning. I started tuning my savage on tank 4. It runs prefect.

I hope this thing runs better in pismo. It had better run anyways, or I will run it lean with no air filter and then smile while I put the sirio back in.. Stupid TRX 2.5's

i know its boring but hey its probly the most time u will spend at one time driving ur r/c. plus at slow speeds u are at less of a chance to break somethin. lol. I'm re-breakin in my wasp .18 right now.

later
