OK, curiosity has gotten to me. So on a whim, I removed the front center drive shaft, front diff and front axels from my Maxx. This is what the plans for the SM show as the front assembly. So today I went out and drove it for a bit. It is different. I'll tell you that. It's weird not having the 4WD. Although I can lift the front wheels a lot easier. I am still experimenting with it to see what else is different. But tonight it is going to recieve the new AE pipe and DuraTrax header that I got from Tower this morning!!!!
 
It hooks well. Much different than the 4WD. That surprised me. It really does handle different. And there is speed. I have to change terrain for the next runs. I was on short grass. That's not the best proving ground. Will run on some gravel and pavement next time.
 
keep us posted Remember the sport maxx only has a one speed tranny so it's slower
