Yayy another new scaler! I have not been on because of my rabid obsession of just building for hours but so far is what you see, (picture heavy) but my Honcho has been such a fun build so far and can't wait to get started with more mods.

About 8.5 hours in and am just about done.

Specs:
Axial SCX10 Honcho Kit
Savox 1258tg Tit. Servo w/ Racers Edge Horn
STRC Knucks: I got the knucks real cheap until I upgrade because knucks go first for me.
RC4WD Aluminum "Y" 3Link End
Pro-Line TSL Red Dot Swampers (very squishy tire)
Integy V11 55t RC Pro Motor
LRP Automatic Runner WP f/b/r esc
Your standard issue 5000mAh 6pack

My plans are to go all out VP because I have never seen one all VP, MIP shafts and 4link braces & go from there I spose.

HERE WE GO!

Until Tomorrow, Thanks for looking! This rig I will be keeping for a long time :D

I like the looks of those rigs!!! nice job so far. I can't wait to see her out in action.

Looking good , congrats on the new rig, I have always liked the Honcho.

Thanks Curtis and Taylor :D I was first interested in scaling by watching honchos on youtube. My body is dry but lightly tacky so I can't go much further, and dont look forward to mounting tires on 500000 screw beadlocks, thanks Axial....

Okay so I got her all done and what have ya and decided to take it outside for a field test and everything but ONE thing is awesome. Every possible direction with this rig exept turnign right is good, after about 85% of my right turn, the rig gradually slows as I progress until it stops at 100% full right turn. What would cause this. My friend runs the same servo so I know its not a bec issue.

I would update with pics but cannot find my camera....

Anyone have any ideas on that?

Okay here is my last batch of pics until tomorrow when I take her out on her maiden voyage. I have never really seen any honchos setup like mine with colors or of any sort so I am actually very impressed thus far with this rig except for that turning issue, but heres what I got for you tonight.

Yay, its time for wheel assembly.......sigh...

WHen I thought I was just about there, I realized that when I ordered AX10 knuckles (all they had) that the AX10 runs 2.2 wheels, not 1.9 so I was demoted back to plastic..

Just got back from my maiden voyage and now I am getting irritated. My reverse pulses like it did on 2 of my other rigs, dont know why, and still am having that turning issue with it, anyone know what could cause these issues? The servo was centered prior to horn instalation so it can't be that, and my friend runs the same setup and doesn't have a bec so I know its not that.

Got my jeep mounted and detailed last night as well.

Very well could be the lack of a bec, even though your friend isnt having trouble.

Just got done learning and understanding EPAs, adjusted my steering EPAs and problem solved, as far as the pulsing reverse, ABS-throttle was on, and causing that pulse for some odd reason. Just too bad I work tonight or I would be scaling right meow!

Okay from my rigs REAL maiden voyage, absolutly AWESOME, out scaled/crawled my buddies 2 rigs without a problem at all, so indeed I am VERY happy with Axials great products.

This is quite the post with pictures so you have been warned!

PS, the ****** white boy is me :D

P1060668.jpg

Okay this picture gave me one hell of a scale, had the throttle pinned and was about 20ft behind it, came up to a rock and noticed that it dropped off quite steep and fast, punching on the brakes was all I could do and if I didnt have my front bumper, I'm sure something would have busted lol. Its not an action picture either, the rig jolted forward and the rear came up and stopped & balanced on the bumper, so they way it is is the way it was.

P1060679.jpg

He was really irritated at his AX10 becasue all it wanted to do was torque twist on every rock and the stock battery mounts on the AX10 (top center) is a really bad place so he wasn't able to do nothin.
P1060680.jpg

And here is my ****** ass, jesus it was hot with my hair & hat, had to shed a layer because of it, but I love my hair so I deal with it :D

Nice pics, good thing you had your shirt off, you really need some sun, LOL!!!! I showed the pic of the spider to my wife and kids and gave the creeps, LOL!!!!!

Haha thanks Curtis I did need the sun ALOT haha, yeah the spider attacked the stick I was using to act as a bug stuck and it came at it fast lol.

Damn what an INTENSE day, never been on a trail with other rigs before and was awesome fun! Mosquitos, rattlesnakes, it was all up there, maybe even cougars in the grasses but whatever, time for pics! (Black Honcho is mine)
