ok so i was driving the revo in the house a little bit this evening and i noticed that when i gave it full throttle it would make a clicking noise a little bit. i wouldn't do it if i took off easy though. so i took the front end apart and looked at the ring gear and noticed that a few of the teeth were grinded down a bit. so i guess i'm gonna have to order new ring a pinion gears. i'm wondering how to shim the diffs. where do i put the shims? is their a thread somewhere that i can read? thanks guys

buy a pack of 4mm shims. put them on the diff on the ring gear side to push it closer to the pinion gear. mine has one shim in it and haven't had a problem. it's my 4th ring and pinion.

Uve already went through 4 ring and pinions? Wow why? And I'm waiting on the shims and new diff covers, cuz my diff screws were half stripped when I opened them up the first timem..wtf?! And they didn't have hardly any oil in them...I'm gonna put 100w all the way around and see how that is...does the center diff need diff lube too?

i have heard of some coming dry from the factory. i think they come with a little grease. if you bought the optional center diff then yes it needs fluid.

ok i did the front diff last night and holy crap that 100w diff fluid is crazy thick!!!! i'm pumped to see how big of a difference this diff fluid makes. should i also tear apart the center diff and put the 100w in it too? i just want everything to be right, and i'm assuming that you have to have the same diff fluid all the way around. or am i wrong? anyone know what fluid they come in them from the factory?
