I want to know how to adjust my brakes on my hb lighning rtr. This time i looked in the search to see if i can find out how i couldn't find anything. But what i want to know is how do i make my brakes work better in the back then in the front? They work fine but my front is what stops me the front skids and the back just slows me down a little. I want my back brakes to work better then my front so when i am racing i can whip it around. Please help......Thanks

Slick Nick

look at the little rods on the servo... there is a front rod and a rear rod.. i myself use a allen wrench to loosen the stop and move it towards the servo... BUT rember.. if the rears lock up 1st.. it will slide around on you..

there are two rods that pull the breaks. I don't know if you noticed but where those rods plug into the servo horn assembly, they are threaded. You can adjust you brake bias by screwing them in and out. You can buy these bias adjuster things that clamp onto the rods. You just turn the adjusters by hand then.

The only other way to do it is to just move the stoppers on the rods.

Thanks I'm gonna do it right now. Thats what i want i want the back end to whip around. My front tires are getting worn out from it skidding. But thanks.

buy a set of onroad tires.. they are worth it if your playing on road.. else grass should not be wearing them.. and yes try different brake set ups.. personally i like the fronts locking first like a real car..

I just adjusted them i like them now. Thanks for rhe info bruce told me that you would much rather have the rear rip out but thats his opinon but i think I'm gonna like it like this better. But thnks for your input.

i like mine with more braking up front , but not to the point they skid - unless it's very very lose dirt

i set mine up on pavement get the brake bias correct.. then use my jr radio to change braking pressure so i can go to a light setting for dirt or a hard setting for pavement.. BUT thats outside of this question... :) the trick is setting up brake bias to how you like it.. cause different surfaces require lighter/harder braking..

i love having my front brakes a little tighter. My track has a lot of hairpins and i just slide right around the inside, its amazing.
