If you look at the gears in step #5, is there grease packed in their or did my diff just leak though???

the savage come stock with grease but after you do the mod you should fill it with silicone fluid. Oh i just looked at the pick no there shouldnt be grease packed in there just enough to lube the ring gear. I thought you were talking about the diff itself.

WOW .. it sure was easy to strip one of the upper screws (the ones that go directly into the plastic without going through the metal bracket when putting the 2 plastic sides back together. Can I live with 1 stripped screw? Can I put in a slightly larger screw? Or do I need to replace the plastic cover?
