How often do you get to drive your nitro?

Must be cause I'm american but that made NO sense to me at all lol

ermm ''i must admit that tuning my nitro gives me headaches because i find it very confusing''

there ya go... sorry i'm just a cockney Londoner :hehe:

i must admit this tuning lark is doin me head in....

I understood you Grrlracer... Must be the ancestoral convict coming out in me....
I run my nitros every Saturday night at the LHS beer, bbq and bash nights, but my gasser waits till Sat arvo after work in the sandpit.
The brushless probably twice weekly up and down my street.
My neighbours are cool with all of them, but the gassers are too big for fun in the street....

Right now I'm running mine about once to twice a week, weather permitting. usually every Sunday is drive time and once or twice a week after work if it's my early shift and the thunderstorms hold off.

I have to ask, because I think I might be not be doing something I should... Tuning your nitro.. what exactly are you doing and why? I've tuned mine once, when I broke it in. After I run it, I do the after-run treatment and clean the air filter. But I don't do anything else. When I crank it up the next time I might have to tweak the steering a little, but other than that I don't mess with anything. So, I'm curious... What exactly is "tuning" and why is it important to do it?

Tuning is the term for making adjustments to the engine to make it run "just right". With weather/temp changes, the performance of the engine can vary greatly, so most of us like to adjust it back to it's best performance everytime.
However, I'm guilty of doing like you a lot with my truck, leave it alone unless it is way off on performance. One thing to watch for though, is engine temp. If the weather changes enough in the right way from where it was when you originally tuned it, the engine can lean out(not enough fuel)and run too hot and burn up your glow plug or cause internal engine damage. One sure sign of this is if you notice a screamingly better performace than usual. I just did this last weekend and even though I knew it was too lean, I kept running it and burnt the plug. And since I just recently moved I haven't yet located all of my spare parts, so that ended my fun! :\ It's recommended to keep a temp gun on hand to periodically check engine temps. Make small adjustments as necessaryto keep temps down.

dam i put my picco 26 in my revo broke it in ans havent eben played with it in a few month ooh well

just got mine so its run every chance i get... couple tanks every night....
then i stripped the spur gear. so untill friday no more fun then i will try and figure out my "no shift" problem while playing with my pit.
he loves to chase / be chased by the damn thing. i thought he would be scared but his tail is goin 100 mph the whole time! and he just barks at it he wont try to pick it up or knock it over he just like to play. its great he gets excersize while i laugh.

As long as I have nitro and it's not raining I run mine nearly everyday if not 3 times a week at least.:D
