Does this include parts that break or just ur toys, My dad got me in to this hobby when I was ten, back in the frog and hornet days, I have all of my cars from thoses days too about 15 tamyia car, then came rc10's, my dad started in helies. So to say just from what I can add up would be over 15,000. This is just a ruff estimate my dad just pop to me right now. I can't beleive it, but is not hard to do. I am 29 right now. now that I sit back and think there are still alot of years of ahead of me. I probaly drop anothor 30 before I die. If you add up parts, paint bodies, new cars that come and go. ouch

I'm only about $1,100 into the nitro scene. Looking to tack on another 400 with a new savage sooner or later.

Being new to RC - my first purchase of LST2 and entry level supplies and tools: $950 and growing.

I'm probably in about 400 to 500 not including 6 crappy xmods and all their up grades

OMFG this is an old thread!!!! over 2 years old....

and by the way...if you read my other post in the thread.... I did have to get the fur but I'm still holding out on the engagement ring....GO ME!!!!

Never got the minis but I'm in for well over $8k since I came back into the hobby a few years ago. I will not name names but some of us are into the 5 digit numbers by now.

You wanna hear something sick? My wife just printed out the damage from early November to now...$2200.00! $2200 in about a month and a half! I thought she'd flip out, but she didn't, so I've toned it down to not push that envelope any further!

All total as of January 2, 06,:
$746.55, but that includes almost 3 gallons of fuel that I still have, and didn't get a chance to burn any this weekend due to almost constant rain :(

Just added another $117.25 for an Airtronics MX3 Tx and a novak xxl rx and 1200mah battery pack:)
So, the total went to :

$863.80

Just added another $47.74 for an OFNA 063 tuned pipe kit :)

total now at: $911.54

last year just from Tower I spent $1100. (Dont ask me on what.. I couldnt tell ya). I do get about 90% of my parts from there. I also did buy a New Savage but that was from the LHS, so all in all last year Id say around $1600. Not to bad compaired to the years before when I had my maxx.. good lord.

I'm over 6k from one hobby shop alone in 2 years....that's not counting stuff I buy used....I budget 250 a month now for RC stuff....luckily that has all been going into lately is refurbing my RCs for next year since I don't have my local track for a few months......so I get to bash lightly in construction sites.......til racing starts I can just upgrade my stuff I've been wanting ot do for a while now.....

Wow, I have spent alot in the last year or so that I have been back into RC. Hell, I spent almost $800 just last week! LOL I guess since I got the TMaxx as a bday gift in 04 I guess I have spent close to 4K give or take. Once I am finished with the CRT, I am guessing I will have at least 1200 bucks wrapped up in that truck alone. This hobby aint cheap, but it is nice to know that when you go into your LHS... you feel like Norm from Cheers! LOL

3yrs into this game...i'd say upwards of 5k. i'm going to put exact numbers, cause it'll make me cry.

My lhs keeps a record of total spent since they opened three years ago. Last I looked I was at 16-17k just at this store, not including online purchases. Pretty sick considering I was pretty much out of the hobby all of last year.
