How do I fit an E-Ring to a shock shaft?

OK. It's hard to tell, but i think the flange balls are too small for the holes. Are they the same size as the ones you've used for the front? Have you checked the measured diameter matches that specified?

That should be all the flange balls needed for the project now - do you have any spare?!

Again, double check you have used the correct bottom arm.

The flage balls are the right size. Its as if they are to big, because the arm rests on them. I know they are the right size thoug.

Did you say that I should push down really hard on the arm so it clips in with the flange ball or should it rest on top like it is with the front at the moment.

lol! Sorry, I thought you were having problems with them popping right off the ball (well, I guess you were!) I should have asked a few more questions...

Correct, you need to push these suckers real hard so they go "pop" and end up inside the "eye of the needle" at the end of the arm. I found the easiest way was to do this on the bench, then screw them on afterwards.

FYI, all of the other balls should be inside the eyes too (in case they aren't already)

Excellent! Hope this helps.

Well. They are screwed in with nut lock, so this is going to be a little tricky.

Don't worry too much about that - I'm sure it's easy enough either way. have a crack at putting them on in situ - if that doesn't work, then you can wory about trying to get them off ;)

You'll probably find having something to push them with, other than your finger, will help - I had bruised fingertips for a while!!

Right. I'm off to bed. Best of luck - I'll check back tomorrow and see how you're getting on.

Enjoy!!

Not to derail your present line of dialog, but the easiest way to put e-clips on is with hemo-stats. They work great to put any size e-clip on.
You can get them at most hobby shows from one of the tool vendors.
