i'm new to the rc nitro truck world trashed my body shell on my redcat volcano s30 so i was thinking about making one my self found out that plastic clothes hanger work great and fit in the post holes for the body not to bad for first try going to test out thought i would post this idea for others out there on a budget bash away

Pretty sure you will find that it's way too brittle and will snap on you. It's a good idea though. Just probably will need better material to make it work well for you.

If you want to go that route, get some delrin rod. It's not that expensive and with a heat gun, is relatively easy to form. It's a really durable plastic that many hard core bashers use to build roll cages out of.

If not, just type in "delrin rod stock" in their search. Then you can figure out the size you need and order up a chunk or two.

They sell their 1/2" stock in 5 foot lengths. $1.51 a foot.

If you scroll down a bit, you will see a really well built one with brackets. I think he used thicker stuff.
 
thanks all for the input i like the roll cage you built i would like to build a tougher one and try different terrain i never would thought how fun a rc truck would be well thanks again
