I am looking to see if anyone has actually used the Hitec RCD RDX2 https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/rdx2-mini-ac-balance-charger/HRC44299.html

I am only looking to strictly balance charge 2S and 3S up to maybe 7.0A, depending on what batteries I acquire over the next couple weeks. I don't need a $100+ charger since I don't have any need for 4S and 6S or larger batteries. What I am looking for is an honest review from someone who has actually used this charger, for charging, storage charging, and possibly discharging 2S and 3S only.

Wanting to charge 3S packs (even at a 1C charge rate) and the charger being 50 watts per channel... you may be wanting a more powerful charger in future.
My last two chargers were both IMAX B6 cheapo's I got off Amazon for $30 each, and they worked just fine for quite a long time for me (I would probably still be using them but I lost one in a fire, and one was stolen). I don't need anything fast, since I only ever balance charge batteries, and I have no problem waiting until they are done charging, even if it takes an hour or more. I don't race, and just bash in fields and parks, so, if a cheaper charger will work, I'm perfectly ok with that. I only started looking at a dual charger because I moved, and hooking up two or more chargers where I am at now is a bit difficult, or I would just buy two of the ones I had before.

Here is a great calc to help you figure out what wattage you need.... https://www.radiocontrolinfo.com/information/rc-calculators/rc-charger-wattage-calculator/#A

I understand now. One last thing, Hitec chargers are rebranded SkyRC products, but Hitec may spec things a bit differently to justify the higher price tag. The charger you linked is Hitec's version of this...

Nothing wrong with Hitec's chargers. I owned a Hitec X2AC Plus for awhile. A great charger. I just outgrew it.

I was actually looking at the SkyRC T100 first, and, after looking at Hitec specs, realized they are exactly the same, which means I'm either stuck still looking, or I end up with two of the IMAX I had before, since they will at least go up to 6.0A (at least, the B6AC will).

i dont order a ton of stuff from them but the vast majority of the things I have ordered usually come in 3-4 weeks.

I have gotten things as fast as a week and a half. Probably the longest wait was around 5 weeks.
The only time I ever ordered from them was an HSP kit and a bunch of parts for it, and it took over 2 months to get. Banggood was even worse.

After rereading OP, and seeing discharging is a topic, perhaps a charger with the capability to do external discharging would be a better choice. For me, I never use a charger's internal resistors to do a bunch of discharging, because of the heat generated. If you got any soldering skills you could build a cheap resistor bank to dump a battery's energy into.

I don't have any pictures of my D6 using auto bulbs/resistors to do external discharging but my H6 Pro...

In the end, it's your money. I think everyone is just trying to get you the most "bang for your buck". At least the SkyRC/Hitec chargers have internal resistance (IR) reading capability, because I wouldn't buy another charging without that feature. Although IR readings will not be highly accurate, you'll at least have a better insight to a pack's health. One last thing, I got both my Hota chargers in a couple weeks using Banggood.
