Yes. I don't know what kv you're thinking about swapping in, or for what platform, but keep in mind max. RPM specs.

What happened to your motor that it needs a new rotor?
I was looking at a 2200kv rotor.

The motor was in a big crash and bent the shaft, broke the bearing in the front of the motor, and bent the mounting plate

2200 kv is SLOWER than a 3800 kv, with the same battery.

Kv is shorthand for 'revolutions per volt' If you put one volt in you're supposed to get the RPM stated, 2200 VS 3800.

On a 2S battery multiply 7.4 x the Kv rating... but there are (RPM) limits on how much voltage you should use, so check the motor specs.

I just noticed that 2200kv is smaller than 3800. Thank you very much for the info
