the high end starts to sputter about the time for second gear to kick in , and still has a great deal of blue smoke rolling out of the pipe. could it be the fule filtter has to much drag on it? the filter worked great on my dynamite .12 spd. Of corse thers a slight difference in the engines lol.Anyone with an ideal or two??

thanks

3.3's needle settings vary greatly. Forget the factory settings, richen the HSN until you have good top speed with no sputter. Then adjust the LSN for acceleration. You may need to make second gear shift earlier. I had to on both my Revos. My 3.3 ran at 4 1/2 turns out on the HSN. The LSN is super sensitive on these mills, small adjustments and be patient. Also check the exhaust for leaks. The stock exhaust is very prone to leaking. Check the fuel tank seal too.....and alll the carby O-rings.

on the lsn should i have a little bit of oil spiting out the exsaust? there was on the other mills iv had but i dont know about the 3.3. and also is it a better ideal to go ahead and tear the mill down and re seal it up after everything else is checked or should it be fine from the factory?

Ill try that on the HSN...thanks

Yes there should be a small amount of oil. Sealing an engine iis always a good idea. Just adjust the LSN until it idles good and launches hard. If the temps steadily climb at idle, you leaned the LSN too much. Back off a tad. You will need to readjust the idle speed screw and throttle linkage to match.
