i was driving my savage and it would only turn one way if i turned the over way it would only turn a bit i picked the front wheels up and done the steering it worked but it was makeing a click ing sound.
it only happens when i've been driving it for about 5 mins.

Do you have something stuck in the hub somewhere? Your servo may be dead or your servo saver.

Sounds like your servo may be dead though (clicking sound). Lift the tires off the ground and hold a front tire stationary and then turn the wheel. If anything, you should hear a grinding sound.

ALso, check the spring inside your Servo Saver.

But it does sound like your servo is dead...
Is it the stock servo from the RTR. those are not the greatest..

the steering dosent work any more i tock it out after 1 tank it stoped working

What?

You mean the spring type servo saver quit working? Did you put another one on? Or did you just put on a servo horn?

You need to have a saver on the steering... unless you have a lot of $ you want to waste on stripped out servo's.

change your servo or if you want contact hpi I'm sure they will give you a new one,the stocker sucks real bad

I think the Savage comes with something like this as a stock part:Servo Saver

That's what we were talking about. If the internals of this thing is toast, get a new one. If it isn't that, then it's probably your servo.

From reading some of your other posts, it doesn't appear that you work on your own stuff. If you don't work on them your self at all, take it the the LHS and see what they can do for you.

Then again, if you can't work on it yourself, you may want to find a new hobby... unless your really rich!

i do most of the work my self but i am 14 and still learning how to fix things

Hang in there! Don't give up just yet :D
Try to figure out exactly which parts are broken. When you said the steering doesn't work anymore, it could be one of the things everyone has mentioned before.

While you're at this, you might want to consider tossing away the old servo saver and get the OFNA Monster Pirate servo saver and a new, better servo.

Since your new and learning, the monster pirate servo mod might be a bit to much.

Just check the stuff we've already talked about. As you get more familiar with the truck, then you can start working on upgrades.

If it is the servo, this servo is what I use: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDWF8&P=ML

If it's the servo saver, this is the parts kit for it:

The savage manual tells you how to put it together.

To save putting it together, here's a kimbrough saver that will work on the futaba servo I posted above:

I don't know what servo comes on the savage originally. I think all brands of servo's have a different size spline on them that the saver connects too, so you have to find the saver the is made specifically for your servo.
