RC Driving Style
hi guys
brought my little boy a rc nitro petrol car for christmas
took it out today for the second time today going great
then all of a sudden nailing it across the carpark then
all of a sudden it reved up and rolled to a stop
now when you try and pull away the gears spin
but the car doesn't go anywhere
any help will be great please as I've been told by my boy
that i was driving it at the time i have to fix it now lol
thanks ross

3 possible suggestions to think of:

1) Slipper is too loose and isnt engaging the transmission gears. This is the spurgear with a short spring on it at the back of the transmission.
2) The clutch itself is fried. Underneath the clutchbell (Small gear that attaches to the spurgear) is a set of clutches with small spring(s). if the spring is froze on just 1 shoe it will not engage.
3) You may have sheared a pin in the transmission that is keeping it from engaging. In the tranny theres a few sets of gears that ar held together with little "shearpins". Breaking any 1 of these pins will keep you from engaging into any gear.
Hope this helps and post back your results. Remember even if you werent driving it was your fault anyway!!
