When the engine is cold there is a lot of compression. However, when the engine get about 200F or so the pull start is very easy to pull. Is that normal? I'm runing a protech .18 engine with about 3 quarts of fuel.

Also, if i have a two needle carboretor does that mean i have a high speed needle and low speed needle?

i dont think that is normal. you should take the cooling head off and the back of the engine off so you can pull your piston and sleeve out. if its gone you should go with a better engine imo. good luck

Perfectly normal. When the sleeve gets hot it expands thus making it easier to pull the pull start.

Yes on your needle question.

Perfectly normal. A sleeve is tapered. So it gets tighter at the top. When it warms up that taper becomes straight. I guess here is an example..

Cold = / \ (not that extreme)
Running temp. = | |

Thanks guys, this has been bugging me as I thought my cheapo engine was going down the pits.
