There’s an abandoned railroad bridge crossing the White River it’s about an hour away way back in the sticks. I went out there with a friend and we climbed out on the thing it was pretty awesome we collected a lot of pictures 😅

There's no way that structure would be accessible, around here. It would be fenced off, posted with no trespassing signs every 3 feet apart, barbed wires, guard dogs, guard sharks in the water below, and possibly a sniper patrol during the weekends with shoot to kill orders.

Same here. 😕

Here they would just be covered in homeless camps. :(
That's no longer the case. Scrupulous individuals now could simply claim someone's home......legally, under squatters' rights. No need to slum it any longer. Yay!!!

I don’t think anyone cares they even have a ladder from the ground so it’s easier to get on 😁
Sure is pretty up there. The machine room was pretty dang neat.
I had a blast poking around in it. I was curious how they meshed the gears we use a piece of paper would they use a sheet of plywood ? 🤷‍♂️

Maybe a glove, fingers removed. :joyful:

No the fingers are required

Looks like fun, as a kid I’d love something like that, we had bridges but nothing with control/machinery rooms, that were accessible anyway. Locked up and too much of a bother to get booze into for parties. Places like that are great with a handful of friends and some teenage/early 20’s mischief. Shoot I’ll be 38 this year and I’m still down for that!
You wont be getting me into that water though!

Don't try this at home kids, or you adults either. I know how you roll.

When I was younger and dumber we used to jump off this bridge. I stopped after I found the bottom. Nothing happened other than I put my feet out and was flat foot on a cement block. I got a little bit less dumb that day and decided it was a little too sketch.

On the other hand, I've never jumped off this bridge, but people have jumped this bridge
