Just a heads up. The website GROMMETO is a complete SCAM. I, and many others, have been scammed. What caught me was a pop up ad on Yahoo & MSN websites. They advertise a lighted, remote controlled, WW2 Jeep that is 520mm (20") long and is all terrain. $49.99 with free shipping. I took the bait and ordered 2 and paid with Paypal. What I received were 2... 6" long, about 1:18 scale non remote toy jeeps. Something I could have got off Ebay for $10. They stolid the video form another online hobby store. They are out of China with no business address or phone numbers. Email are pretty much useless. I've reported them, as have others, to the FTC and online SCAM sites. Here is their webpage if you see their pop-ups. Please remove link if not proper to post. 'grommeto.com'. If any price seems to good, don't fall for it. There is a lot of these site popping up. Not sure if this was the correct forum to post this.

I totally agree. They advertise a $400 RC jeep for $49.99, and send you a $10 toy jeep. I have complained to PayPal, who says they will investigate.

I complained to PayPal and they said I was not covered. After about 20 emails exchanged ( NO JOKE) with Yeri, Alissa, Titeean and Aurora contacts at Grommeto, I decided to accept their $40 refund and I keep ( no other choice) the 2 toy jeeps. Hope to sell them cheap on Ebay. Now Grommeto says they cannot do a refund to Paypay because my complaint has blocked them. I emailed Paypal about Grommeto being blocked from a return. Just did that today. Waiting for a reply from Paypal. Many others fell for this scam.

I'd love to have the product they actually advertised, but it's over $400 on other websites. I made PayPal assure me that they would investigate. They said they will stop offering their services to Grommeto if they find fraud. Unfortunately, they will probably just change their name and do it again. I'll follow up if the ads don't come down. Even with the partial refunds they offer, they are making bunches of money. They know exactly what they are doing.

Well, Guess Paypal just might have blocked them. If that's the case I'll forget any hope of receiving any refund. Yep, bait and switch. Most likely the will do as you said, close up and open under another name. I exchanged emails with the service that created Grommeto's website. They said they just create a website, then have no follow up on how it's used. Grommeto's website is still up and running ripping people off.

FYI, I refused Grometto's pitiful refund offers, however, PayPal reimbursed me the full amount, including shipping, via a credit, or reward, as they call it, that can be used for future purchases.

I wish I had used my Visa card, but I've always used Paypal withdrawing directly from my checking account. Doubt I could file a claim that way. Paypal replied I did not use the proper method filing a complaint and requesting a refund, therefore the refused my claim. Though they ask me to explain the entire transaction again and they would look into it. I've always trusted Paypal with all my online purchasers. Guess I best have paypal charging my C.C. and not my checking account. Thanks for all your replies.

Depending on your bank you should be able to get them to do a reversal on the charge but not 100% on that.

Add my name to the sucker list as well, pop up ad on AOL got me. I reported them as well, nothing yet. Should have remembered the advice my dad gave me, years ago when I was a kid and got ripped off ordering something from an ad on the back of a comic book, "if something seems to good to be true, you can bet your a$$ that it isn't.

Update Paypal said company agreeing to a refund if I send it back, Not worth spending another 30.00 to send it back to China, I guess i will stop using Paypal as well.
