O man had an adventure today!!
I decided to pull my son out of school today for some dad time, I charged up the batteries and we went to our local spot fagen branch lake.
We have never made it all the way around, something or things always get broke
.
We made it all the way around today
5miles and 6 batteries.
Once we got to a section that was new to us and it just went right into the lake. Backtracked a bit but didn't see the path.
We blazed our own. Went off off road lol.
Followed a small game trail figuring if we keep lake to our left we have to find the trail.
We eventually did but not without some adventuring. After crawling under a few trees my son slips head first sliding down the hill side right for the water!!! I had to fall on him to put the brakes to him, got a little scratched up but he was fine laughed it off once he realized he wasn't going to die he said lol
( Worst case scenario he would have gotten wet)
About halfway around we lost a screw!! Sadness has swallowed us.
But
This is why I made the TOW RIG!!!!!
It worked fantastic
Towed his truck mostly fine. I still need to add more weight in the front since the ascent is smaller and lighter than the truck being towed. A few times when going up a steep hill if have to push down on the front so it would get the traction to pull but we did get the Basecamp hauled out of the woods without having to pack it or strap it to my backpack. Really really stoked that she performed so well.
Then when we got home my brass kit for her was waiting on me like the rc gods heard of my difficulty so sent the solution. ( Forgot I'd ordered em it took so long to get here)
