got my picco .26 in the mail today got it all sealed and put in my revo. now ready to break it in.to bad i've got to work tomarrow just hope this weekend is dead because i'm on call:angry:.now i just have to find a rear pipe for it

my only suggestion to you is to not try to tune for power till you get at least 7-10 tanks through it and don't tune for full power till you have a gallon through it they take a long time to break in properly, i have a jl reddot on my revo too and it has got gobs upon gobs of power so be warned

Mine just came in today also but I'm still waiting on the new era motor mount! :(

What spur/clutch gear are you going to be using?

Stock with the infant motor mount mesh seems ok.
Started breaking tonight can already tell the powereven with stock pipe

Lol just saw what damn phone put in ment onfa mount damn auto spell correct

17/36 is the gear combo i use and i love it, plenty of power to pull the wheels and on a good tune it will pull the wheels up when it hits second gear and i'm using the traxxas single chamber tuned pipe and i love the gear combo.

Here is a write up on the Traxxas forums for making your own BB header gasket:

I'm picking up the same motor for my Revo and also doing 17/36 gearing. I plan to go with the Dynamite 053 side pipe.

I went from the THS rear to the Dynamite 053 sidepipe and it was a huge difference. The 053 makes the Picco fly! I also use 17/36 gearing and I love it!

Is it necessary to seal this engine? Did you also replace the front engine bearing?

thanks.

Good to hear. How is your clutch holding up?

i think it might have been alright without sealing but i fugured it wasn,t in yet so might as well and avoid possible headaches. i haven't been able to run it in a week and it's driving me nuts if work doesn't slow down soon i may have to take a sick day lol

What do you think sick days are for? haha.
All the people i work with use sick days to take care of personal business.
I'd like to know how break-in works out. I pick up my motor on Friday and this will be the first motor i ever broke in.

I have only broke in two first one I used traxxas method second I used heat cycle in the link above both motors have about 1/2 gal through them but the picco that I used heat cycle on has lots more pinch so I'm only using heat cycles on any engine now

I might just try that heat cycle method.
