I would recamend the 23mm hexes.Helps put down power better and are less likely to strip.I would use wabash rims and 40series crime fighters or bowties.Depends on your track. What big block conversion are you useing?Hows it run?Can you post a pic with the bodie off?

There are some guys use 23mm hex 40 series rims and mod it to fit in traxxas response tires. Obviously that setup is for race. Why they don't use 40 series bowtie? I don't know :p:

Handle better maybe? By the way, nice truck there man. I am thinking to put in a 8 port hyper .21 in my revo (need the pull start because there is no way I can use starter box).

dont know much about the truck bought it used as it sits still gotta go thru it and learn a lil but here are some more pics

Use what you have! The Response tire on the Hurricane wheel is by far the lightest combo out there which is huge in savings on rotational mass. I've been running them all season and they are great and they have held up well. I picked up some Panther Pythons and was shocked at how heavy they are.

I'll second what the Mech says. IMO the 23mm is overated and over-priced.

well i wound up with the 23mm Dace adaptors for $30 on ebay so i snatched them up....

best part is i got my RD box for $40....:)

Those 23 mm adapters are going to come in to good use at the track. The standard hexs tend to round out the smaller hubs quite easily since there is not a big contact in the rim. Also, since you'll be racing, the 23mm hubs give you a wider assortment of hubs to choose from in the 40 series style.
