Like I mentioned above the clutch and transmission are the key. A while back there were some folks on another forum that were serious about this. They were involved in making a custom transmission for the Maxx that was all steel with a serious reduction in gearing. Once they got the transmission to where it needed to be they ran into clutch issues. The forum closed down and I haven't seen them active on other forums from that time on.bustedgears said:I heard a loud snap from the tranny. It's done.

Next up is the storm. That's a little harder to break.
I still that that tranction is going to be a huge part of it. The rc is so light it will just spin the tires before it does any pulling. But yeah, if it did get waited down enough to not spin the tires, the tranny would be a HUGE issue. Get a rcsolutions cage where ya can stand on it, then try to pull.FastEddy said:Like I mentioned above the clutch and transmission are the key. I'm sure it can be done, and with the innovations that have come about in the last few years I think the reality of serious hobbiest rather then manufacturers and fabricators getting the job done is closer to a reality.

The vids from the other forum showed the RC weighted down with Bricks on both the front and back. They also used an attachment that dropped down from the front of the truck bumper to the same height as the RC bumper to connect the rope.4u2nv said:I still that that tranction is going to be a huge part of it.
