IMO the only reason that I would want anything else then my own hand is if I had sensitive fingers. Really all you need to do is be able to pinch the line. Pretty effective IMO. People use the foot in the stinger as well or the most effective stop he flywheel with your shoe . If you are manly enough, use your finger. MW with that picture I think your choice requires a strong shoe.
