Well. Just gassed up the work van.
32 gallons, $112.00
That should last me 2 days.....

i believe there will be a shortage of petro in the coming weeks. Not just LA but other states as well.

Well all I gotta say is, I'll be prepared...wether my parents will is another story...
In a few months once this poop is really bad and I hear my friends complaining, I'll just laugh, because I'm sittin there gettin fuel for under $1.00 a gallon courtesy of biodiesel, and another benefit of it, is it helps farmers too.

Are you referring to red diesel?

Guys,

I usually don't complain about the gas prices too much because I guess you have two alternatives, pay the price, or walk. However the last couple of days has been absolutely nuts. Gas has gone up over a $1 in the last two days. We are up to $3.29 a gallon for gas here in southern MD. It makes me sick to my stomach. Hell I can't afford to run my lawn mower now, much less my truck. I drive a freakin Toyota, I should't be paying $50 a week in gas. It is just unbelievable. The one thing I fear though, is the same thing Fast Eddy said. "You need to come up with a plan" This price hike is going to affect everything from, Mail delivery, to Airline tickets. We will now probably have to pay a fee for having our mail delivered to us, and just watch how high the prices are going to be to ship a package via FedEx or UPS. Trust me, we will feel this in more ways than just our wallets. Trucking industries, railroads, hell this hike may just stop the Lesuire activities like boating, and fishing all together. This just sucks big time arse! Ok, I am done complaining now.

Get the gas today. Not tomorrow.

gas is about 3.25 on average here in central NJ. yeasterday driving home it was 2.99, today several places are stil at 2.99 but others are about 3.5...its completely nuts...

as for the gas reserves, can't remember who said it, the US has over 1yr of gas reserves...not 10 days...

Boycotts on fuel don't work.
If you think about it, what happens?
You get more fuel the next day after they raise the price up. A boycott only works if you have an alturnitave product to use and can hold out for the long run.

I had over 1/4 of a tank in my Jeep Grand Cherokee (6-cyl) and $45 of the mid grade did not even fill it up. I am going to have to start driving my motorcycle and Corvette more often. Both have smaller tanks and get much better mileage.

Nah, it's biodiesel, you can make your own for about $0.70 a gallon...even less if you buy the supplies for less. And the main indregiants are corn oil, lye, and methanol.

AAAAWWWWWW POOR NASCAR Drivers....BOO F'ING HOO......gerbil mill for humans if you ask me.....touring car racing IMO is more fun to watch and I'll bet even to do....

Yeah T, they could cry me a river. Can't afford gas so I can play this weekend. 3 day weekend and a lot of people probably spend it close to home.

Guess we are all bitching and moaning a lot. I hate the prices. I really think the oil companies are taking advantage of a major catastrophe.

Labor day is always too busy for me to travel. But I still have the choice if I want. Lot of homeless, starving, sick and dying in Louisiana. Looks like they will be under martial law before long. (That how you would say it?) If they aren't already.

I'm not a very religious person. But maybe we all should say a prayer for those that are there. And be thankful we are comfortable in our own homes. Good luck to all.

Not trying to derail the thread.

Live in my own little world plaid.
Rode the short bus too bro.

I are gude boy to... I are not meen to noebudy.....Mie favrit culur is cleer!
lol...I'd hate to be down there now....you know w/ all the infections happening they aren't going to let people out anymore......I heard 10,000 square miles of this country has been wiped out from the storm...that's almost 10% of the storm area.....this is going to be a long recovery for that region......
