solid diffs are usually reserved for the rear of the car only. Using a solid diff in the front would destroy the handling characteristics. Front one way diffs are good if you meet the following three qualifiers:

1. You are racing on a VERY large track.
2. You are an expert driver and usually win the A Main.
3. You can drive the track without using the brakes.

One way diffs are good for powering out of wide fast turns, but will hinder the car dramatically on smaller technical tracks.

Because they eliminate front braking, you need to have a perfect driving line, and be a very very good driver, otherwise you will constantly spin out.

Braking is almost eliminated when a front one way is installed, so a smooth driving style and fast corners are required to benefit from its use.

now I'm confused the guy at the hobby shop told me that people are running the solids in the front....

so i should just keep the stock than???

thanks for your help

unless u are an expert racer, keep with the std diffs. one ways and solid's make a vehicle much more difficult to drive and will hurt rather than help you unless you are an expert.

I have yet to hear of anyone using a front solid axle. only rear. i do know they make a solid front axle for the NTC3, but am unsure why. Maybe this is something new that i am unaware of, however, i race almost once a week, and have never seen a solid axle used on the front

thanks for the help man you just saved me some money, much apperciated!!!

cheers

Hmm wonder how a one-way in front and rear would go.. lol.. I have a spare one-way, should drop it in my LD3 to see how it goes... (I don't use brakes anyway)
