Waiting on nitrosteve.......

I do have ONE LAST SPOT! I have a guy that MIGHT do it, but who else HERE wants in???? Once the league is set, i'll set the draft day. I like to wait on it, as lots of things will happen in camps till the season.
 
Quick question. Once the draft date is set will it show the order that we will draft?

I know Favre would not be a QB to pick but AP should have a killer year and you still wouldn't want him.......I might have to go shuffle my ranking a little more.

Yes, draft order will be set when I get all 12 teams.
 
OK, I can't change it to 10 teams, I have 2 spots open. Anyone else want in????? Know anyone?

Draft date is set, order will be picked 1 hr prior to draft!
 
I'll do it, what the hell. I have never done a Fantasy football league before but I will give it a go.

What date is the draft set for? Just want to be sure I can make that with all my Dr. appointments.

Your not alone brother, this is my first year too! Once you get signed up you can either used the preset player rankings or you can make your own adjustments to the ranking. It will be an auto draft so you don't have to be on line at that time. It will pick your highest ranked player available for you. You can also choose specific positions for each round...ex: If you want a QB in the first round you can make it choose the highest ranked QB available in round one. This is what I see so far, I'm sure there is more.

I have to admit there's a lot more strategy needed than I expected, and it's something you will have to keep up with every week. It seems like it will be a lot of fun!

BTW draft is set for September 1

So in this draft it's really just pot luck? you get what you get? My wife joined one on Yahoo and was able to pick the players she wanted, I think that would be better then just getting whoever handed to you. So you could get no one you want and be stuck for the season with a crappy team by no fault of your own? That doesn't sound as appealing as picking your own team.

It's very doubtful that we would all be able to get online at the same time to do a live draft where you actually pick the player

It's all about setting your rankings to try and get the players you want. Once you get your rankings the way you want them the auto draft will use your rankings to pick the best available player when it's your pick. If you end up with a player you didn't want you should have ranked in lower.

I think I am gonna pass on this, it's just not as appealing to me as it would be to pick your own team. It was really cool doing the draft with my wife, picking your player, waiting for your next pic to see who would still be there, and then getting to choose who else you would want if your first choice was gone. Having no say in the matter is just not exciting. Sorry guys.

i'm game for a live draft. if people dont show up for the live draft the system should auto draft for them based on preset rankings. so this way if u can get online to draft you can pick your own team or just not show up and let the system pick...

the only draft back is the time needed. i think you get 3 minutes to make your pick so a live draft could take about an hour to draft
 
We were suposed to draft today but I just checked and it says no draft date set....What now?

Nine teams drafting a 16 players roster will take a long time. If the system give 3 minutes for every pic it would take 48 minutes total for each person that is not online to pic. I'm guessing it's a little faster when your actually online to pick.

I went in to look at this also and saw that it has not got the drafting set yet. Are we good to go or are we waiting on something? I will tell you my first pick will be....Yeah right! Like I would really tell you! LOL LET THE TRASH TALK START!! (soon ok? soon!! I am drooling here!!)

OK guys, we had to have 2 "robo" teams. I could not get 2 other people to join. And I could NOT change it to a 10 team league. We have 2 options.......
1. we can keep the 2 teams and I can set it to "best lineup" and they can just play as normal.(i think I can set thier line-ups)
OR
2. we can set up ANOTHER league and keep the 10 teams we have and Re-draft.

Sorry for this, as I figured we could get 12 people, but it wasn't meant to be. Please bear with me as this is my 1st time as a commish as well!

PLEASE let me know ASAP so we can go ahead with this, one way or the other!

we may be to do a live draft as well, but I need a date and time that work for everyone, or most everyone.
