I got it and typed a story of a reply. Jason and I are working things through.

I'm a little apprehensive to send the engine back, because then I'm not only out $50 bucks, I then have no engine to show for it. I'm also apprehensive since I recieved it in this state, and am not sure what jason wants to "inspect it for".

You can clean the engine and send it back. BUT IF I THINK YOU LEANED THE PISS OUT OF IT I WILL SEND IT BACK AND THAT WILL BE THE CLOSE OF THE DEAL.

I've already decided too. I believe Jason is good people. so that being said, I'm going to stick my neck out and be at his mercy.

I do have 5 vacation days to use before february though. soooo if something goes wrong. lol, I'm just kidding. GA is the last place I'd want to vacation.

IMO,
If you ran the engine at all you are at his mercy.
If you didn't run it, Its proper manners for him to refund you minus any shipping fees.

This is just my opinion.

Dont want to vacation here: Try living here then youll really hate it. 1 track to race at within 1 hour, they dont carry many parts, Most of the racers are dicks, They spent 40,000.00 on a onroad course for 12 drivers to race on and have 65-100 people every week on offroad and wont change the offroad track unless the racers pay for the new dirt.

Just like I've spoken with Jason, I havn't ran the engine. Just merly took it apart to see the condition of it. Upon inspection on sunday night, found that "TO ME" the piston appeared to have gotten pretty hot at some point in time. I determinded this by the amount of baked on black stuff on it. Tried to rub some of it off, and when only some of it came off, I decided that I should pursue a different avenue.

Plus it's been pretty chilly here, I havn't had time for my hobbies, and so on and so on.

compression still feels pretty good, this is when trying to turn the engine over without a flywheel on the crank.

actually I have offered to just be refunded $50 so jason can have the 5 to cover his trouble and shipping cost.

The only other things we have agreed to is that I'm going to clean the engine as I reassmble it, since I don't feel good about putting it back together dirty.
