  1. Bashing
I need to know what upgrades I would need to have a basher/racer.I want to still be able to bash around and race once a month or so. I have the new revo 3.3 and have a good idea but would like your input..oh yeah I have $300 budget..what say you !!

very strong front bumper is #1 .

What you need / want, depends a LOT on what trucks you run against, the terrain you run on (for tyres) how you want the rig to handle (sway bar kit, shock springs, oils) and other things.

RPM arms are a must both for bashing and racing, stronger CVD's than the stock plastic units are always a good idea, dual brake disc upgrade, Centre diff upgrade (required for dual brake disc conversion). Look at fitting alloy pushrods & Turnbuckles (traxxas maybe) Maybe consider 2.4ghz radio.

You will also need to ensure you are "On Your Game" in regards to engine tuning & gearing choice (both transmission and CB/ Spur gear). Not to mention tyre & rim choice.

Thunder tiger nailed it. Just remember to leave some weak links, body mount, bumper mount etc. You don't need a strong bumper either, IMO. Use your 300 bucks and get the stuff that matters. I would recommend a nice .060 thickness body like the proline "crowd pleazer". It will act like a roll cage instead of actually paying 80+ bucks for one. The RPM arms and axle carriers are a must, the very first thing I'd get. Traxxas makes excellent cvd's too. If you get the rpm "true track" rear arms you'll need different drive cups, they're the ones for the traxxas extended wheelbase arms. Also you might want to look into some proline maxx masher 3.2 tires and wheels. Don't get 40 series unless they're a low profile pin tire or something. 40 series monster tires are too big. The maxx masher is a great tire for both racing and bashing. When shopping for wheels and tires look for something that is 1/2 inch offset, it will widen your truck a full inch. If you're keeping the 3.3 try a THS pipe it'll really wake up that 3.3.

I guess 40 series maxx mashers would be ok, but you'll have to gear down a bit.

hopup

I also have a new revo that i have been hoping up. I WENT WITH THE THS PIPE ,MOTORSAVER AIR FILTER TRAXXAS EXSTENDED A-ARMS,STEVE SLAYDEN STEERING MOD AND TRAXXAS RESPONSE TIRES.WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE,THE TRUCK SCREAMS.:D:D:D:D
