Some one said it will be like 450 range. Then tack on 200 for a ok brushless set up, ill by a baja lol.

Bryson

ok but do you know their respecive top speeds fro the new e-revo and the Baja ? Is the motor brushless ?
also, the fact that the Baja cannot take 7 cells (only 6) neither LiPo cells, is that a big disadvantage in terms of power ?

Novak- Actually wha he's saying is that $450 + $200 for a brushless setup = $650, and that he would rather spend that kind of money on a Baja.... $900. The price point is not really very close and in all reality $650 for a badass r/c is NOT that much money. Any top of the line 1/8 buggy is gonna run you close to $500 and it doesn't come with a darn thing. So in alll reality it's not THAT bad. I still think $450 is only slightly high because it's not truly RTR. I never understood how a company can call an electric vehicle RTR when it doesn't come with batteries.

The mamba max version is gorgeous, my mouth dropped when I saw it. I think the suspension definetely hogs a lot of room in there. Thatr is going to be one fast, great handling rig and it definetely looks 1/8 scale for sure.

I think there will be a lot of the esc's and motors on ebay when these come out, everyone will want to just go brushless!

Traxxas has now posted specs on this bad boy.

http://www.traxxas.com/products/electric/erevo5605/trx_erevo5605.htm

What caught my eye is the length. It is 22.91" whereas the Revo Platinum is 22.52". The 3.3 is a puny 20.65" in comparison.

To go to a single brushless motor, Traxxas is also releasing a single motor mounting plate and gear cover.

Other options include a diff kit and 2 speed conversion.

I am excited to receive this rig and have decided to abandon my Revo brushless conversion project and move some of the components like the Neu motor from that rig onto the ERevo. I already have the new Mamba Monster ESC on order and it will also be used on this.

Yeah, I am thinking about stripping my BL Emaxx and getting the REVO as well. Looks like a really sweet rig. I am loving the length. I guess that would technically qualify it as 1/8 scale? Have you ordered it yet? Thanks for the info!

I like both of my trucks. I have a lst, an emaxx and xxx-t mf2 with a mamba 5700 2cell lipo. I like my lst because I can run it until the receiver battery dies or I am out of fuel but I do like plugging a battery in and not have to worry about tuning. I do believe that brushless is going to take over.

Ordered and received.

I picked it up last night and will pop the seal this evening.

Sweet! You will have to let me know what you think after you have had some time to run it. Congrats bro!

Popped the box and started in on some mods.

For the record, the largest 2S MaxAmps Lipo packs that will fit are 8000's. They fit snug as a bug. I did have to cut some slots in one of the vent covers to feed the wire leads. Took about 5 minutes with the trusty Dremel.

One thing I found interesting, the ERevo uses twin steering servos just like a Revo. On my original Revo, I seem to remember a "Y" harness being used to attach the servos together and then to the receiver. The ERevo uses a new micro receiver that has 2 channel one slots on it so each steering servo plugs into it's own channel one slot.

A couple of quick pics.

This is one slammed lid.

Radio box is designed for a micro receiver only. I have pulled the crappy Traxxas rx and installed a Futaba FASST to use with my 3PKS. I need to get a Y-Harness for the steering servos and put deans connectors on the esc battery leads. It will then be ready to roll.

Eventually, every hop-up I have on my Tekno Revo project will go on this rig. As soon as I get my hands on the Mamba Monster ESC, I will also be installing my Neu brushless motor.

Sweet!
Will it be ready for next weekend at the track?

As long as I restrain myself from making any major changes it will be ready.

Misc. parts swap with my Revo is completed.

I will leave the swapping out of the stock arms for the RPM's for after race season.

All I need is to make a transponder lead and pick up a 'Y' harness and it will be ready to race.

Sweet, Man it's going to be a good month with the slash coming in and ordering the e-revo. I think I may have a nitro revo roller for sale real soon, along with brand new Tekno RC conversion parts.
