What is the biggest badass engine that i can put in my 5309 revo? I want one that is a direct replacement so i can use my easy start and not have to do any mods.

Without doing any major mods, and to keep the ez start, you're basically stuck with the 3.3
I checked on RC PLANET and they have a os .21 that they claim to be a direct replacement without any mods. Don't know if it would be any better than the 3.3.

Picco 26 is the king here. All you REALLY need is the center section of the motor mount from ofna. Of course you may want a pipe and clutch too with all that power. It'll make that OS 21 look silly. I have yet to own one but soon will. You could also try a sirio s27TX. I got mine on ebay for 159. Add a trinity mount and a good THS or RD logics big block exhaust and your done. They have the s27RE for revo, but it's 100 bucks more. You may need a tekno throttle linkage too, I didn't try my stock one on it. The stock e-z start or pullstart will fit both. I love the s27 because it is very powerful, easy to break-in, holds a rock-solid tune and has not shown any signs of leaks or tuning issues so far after 1.5 gallons. I've never had an engine this easy to use so far. I will be changing the crank bearings in the next gallon or two, but this will be preventive maintenance.

Oh man I didnt know those would fit the ez start

Well, since you mention it, I'm not sure if the e-z start will fit these engines on the truck, but yes it will fit the engines. I have three brand new ones in the bag still, don't like 'em.

For the price, your best to stick with the Picco or sirio. The money you save comes in real handy once you start blowing drivelines apart.

The Picco ,26 max just needs a big block mount. The EZ Start and stock exhaust will bolt right up.
