engine runs away even with proper carb settings

i have a chance to fix a nitro engine for some one that only ran their car for a day and put it in the attic for 3 years.
I've got the engine to start by replacing the carb, wasent getting fuel to the engine. but now when it starts it wants to run away. idont see how if the carb has proper settings. help

just found a broken clutch spring i think thats the problem

Are you saying the engine is reving up or the car is just taking off on an idle?:

yes. fixed now replaced broken clutch spring

had the same prob ,mine ended up being that make sure your electronics are on, make your factory settings then adjust the slide in the carb .truck was running to rich.check your throttle sevo to make sure its on right needs to horzontal with servo
