okay so i have an ofna hyper gt buggy thats probably like 6 years old. its 1:8 scale and has a 3.5 engine on it. and i have a savage 25 but the motor in it is shot so would i be able to put the 3.5 from the buggy into the savage? if so how would i go about making it fit? and would the truck run differently

oh and the carb is flipped on this motor so would i need to buy a new one or can i just turn it around?

It's .21 so it should mount in there and you can rotate the carb. A good.21 would perform ok too but does it have a pull start? A lot of buggy engines are bump start only and won't work in a Savage due to it's chassis design.

well the motor came with a pullstart but i switched it for a roto start but i tried it out and not all four holes on the engine line up with the savage mount so i dont think it will work unless i run it with only two screws but i dont think thats the best idea

only using the 2 screws at the back may make the engine tilt up at the front. I wouldn't run it without all four in. My savage came to a stop when I was out bashing, it just sat there revving and not moving. I thought i had stripped the spur gear but what had happened was 3 of the 4 engine mount screws had worked loose and moved the engine. I had used some cheap loctite that couldn't cope with the heat that was being generated.

Lessons learned.
