I'm am havin big problem with my engine though, but it might just be that i bouht it off of ebay though but it was just my birhday and i got some money so imma bring it to the shop to see if it i the engine and ill prolly get the picco .26. any hop ups you guys think i should do before i get that engine? the only thing I've done to my savage is got a new air filter and new tires n rims.thanks

but if their is any way i can check by myself for engine wear? and i forgot to mention i have the roto start
 
yes, if u take the engine off and spin the flywheel it should be pretty hard to spin. if not it has lost most of its compression and is soon in need of a rebuild. have u had the engine started? will it stay running?

ya when i start it it starts and then it runs up n down my street and then after bout 5 minutes i just gas it and it dies. and then i try to restart it and it wont start.
 
sounds like your running to lean, and the engine is overheating, what temps are you running at???
 
i dont know i dont have a tmperature gun. how do i make it not run lean? its prolly in the manual but might as wel ask.
