My question is this :

I have an old school T-maxx with two .21 pico-ofna motors and what I need to find is an exaust system thats

1)good for those two motors

2)not high maintenance ...

I would also like to know if anyone knows where I can get a dual exaust I saw online (In a picture only) of a dual motor / dual exaust for the tmaxx? It came out the back of the truck and had this awesome looking carb. set-up!

Tell me what you think, I'm open to all/any suggestions...

Are you talking about an exhaust for each engine or a single going to both.... or a pipe from one engine with two outlets? Just trying to envision what you are thinking of. So you have a twin engine Max.... ok we need pictures of that bad boy too... just saying. We like to watch...lol

I'm trying to find a pic. to post... I've only seen it one time and my regret is that I didn't save the picture! grrrrrrrrrrr........ But what I'm looking for is an exaust that (From what i saw) is in the back of the truck & it was designed for two motor imputs with two outputs but looked like one exaust pipe...

P.S. I have a pic of my tmaxx in my albums...(it's taken apart somewhat because of the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey)

P.s.p.s. How do I post a picture on here without having a URL for the pic.?

Dual exaust & carb. set-up I want!!!

I found it, Yeah me!!! After two hours of searching I have a ULR, YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH...... Now I hope I did this right so you can see what I'm looking for because I don't know where to find this at...P.S. I don't care about the carb set-up just the exaust!!!

The pipes in the pic are two separate pipes and work almost as well as the stupid chargers in the pic. Trust me they are junk and are for looks more than performance.

I recommend running two side pipes and two fuel tanks with dual engines. Otherwise unless a single pipe is separated in the center and works like 2 separate pipes would, you will end up with a tuning nightmare.
Rear mounted pipes on a TMaxx always end up damaged unless it sits on a shelf or has some type of protection around it.

Something like this layout of the pipes will be better suited for a twin engine Maxx build.

I'm not trying to derail the thread but how do you go about tuning a rc car like that Snook? I would imagine with both engines running it would be difficult to tell both motors apart when trying to tell if one is running rich or lean. Also, do the engines take air from under the chassis or are those air filters just mounted onto the chassis and pull air from under the body?

Yeah not wanting those carbs now that I've done some reading on them, but I do really want the exaust though... I would prefer to keep my set-up I have this set-up from like 2001 and not wanting to spend more than $500.00 to get it up and running considering I spent over $2K to begin with... (truck cost not included.) And i need to replace some of the things I do have on the truck because of the damage from Hurricane Sandy!

parts needed:

1) rear skid plate
2) all 3 servo's
3) CVD (all around)
4) new controller

And a few other miscellaneous parts here and there.

Cvd

Tell me what do you guys think of this set-up? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLdqE0qBJCU"]TVR Ball-X traxxas e-revo t-maxx axle shaft - YouTube[/ame] yes / no?

The Ball X cvd's look to be very nice. I was going to order a set but decided to wait for some reviews before I dropped the coin on them.
I believe the pipes in the pic were made by slimline and have been discontinued for some time now. I sold mine several years ago and was glad to see them go.

Tuning is just as simple as tuning one engine. You just run 1 at a time to tune, then fire both of them up and put in the ear plugs.
The airfilters are just attached to the chassis and get the air from under the body.

i have a much modded Jato with O.S. engine. and a RD logics twin ext pipe 61940B. because the the pipe has less resistance that other you need to mod the pressure supply to the gas tank. 1. get a check valve, sullivan no. s756. put it in the fuel line close to the pipe. so it holds pressure in the fuel tank. 2. and a tee fitting s486. near the fuel tank. so the run fittings are in line to the tank. the other fitting plug with JB-weld. after it is dry drill a hole to relieve some pressure .030-.040 dia inches. 3. this system will put and pressure in the tank but not full pressure. you stabilize the pressure by relieving some pressure with the hole in the tee fitting. the pipe makes lots of power and noise. good luck.
