Hi,
I bought the Losi RTR 8ight-XE 4x4 Buggie and wanted to know what other bodies will fit on it.
I read someones thread that said the Losi 8ight 2.0 bodie should fit, but to me it seems like ALL of the 8ight bodies should fit, but does anybody know forsure???

P.S. some 4s lipos are to big for this bodie, you can heat up the bodie with a heat gun and warp it to fit (like i did) but you may want to either use 2 2s's in tandum or book mark this post forfuture reference :)

I've been running this body for many years, very durable and flies extremely well:

Also recommend backing the paint with Dragon Skin (backed with E6000) and RC Body Armor along the edges:

ok, thanks
is that a Truggy body, so that will work on a Buggie frame??
i had no idea that that would work

oh, thats nice, I like this one alot, thanks

so the 8ight X/E Bodies will work, cool, thats good to know

A few years back there was a shift in body designs coined "Bruggy" when TEKNO stretched the rules with the release of the ET48 2.0 and then everyone else followed suit to gain the same performance advantages. These bodies will only fit the truck, not the buggy.

Most notably for me is that I no longer lose body clips on the front 2 body posts anymore and my truggy bodies last significantly longer which saves a ton of money.

Here's ProLine's version of the bruggy body:

Sidenote on the Leadfinger bodies, I no longer buy them because their window masks peel off easily if you apply other masking on top and paint multiple colors. I have ruined bodies when painting a second color and didn't realize that the window mask was removed, doh! Not sure what masking is used by other brands but I have relied on Dialed Hobbies bodies for many years without any issues on their window masks ;)

thats great to know, thanks, i will look into both, i like the look of the Bruggy body, it looks tuff

Yep! Pretty much everything should be the same, just lower quality of some metal parts. They’ll be stamped aluminum instead of machined
yeah, i figured it was a good way for me to start off & then just replace what breaks & upgrade what wears out as i go along, it works for me maybe not so much for someone else but for me it seems perfect.
Any suggestions on what to upgrade first???

Congrats on your recent win btw..🍻

Holy smokes, my dyslexia really kicked in, thanks for the correction! I have truggy on the brain and keep seeing XE as XT, my bad! The more I think about it, the T in RTR was jumping out and making me think truggy, doh!

The body I linked above is for the truggy only, I don't believe Dialed sells any bodies that are compatible with TLR buggies, at least they're not marketing them as compatible.

It's been a long time since I've used ProLine bodies but I recall their window masks being top notch when I used to paint their SCT bodies so I would consider this buggy body here as far as my degree of confidence with window masks included:

Ryan Dunford has some setup help posted here that I would go through if I was running TLR:

All good man-I had a feeling that’s what was going on, you never skipped a beat so… I had to do a double take myself on the model.. Losi, and a one or two others mess with me as well lol..

ok, thanks everybody, so no bruggy body then :(
well,
i found this one....
TEAM LOSI RACING Cab Forward Body Set Clear 8E 3.0 TLR340002......
will this one work???
it looks boxy enough to fit the big 4s lipo, the 2.0 version looks like it has a resest area that dips down into the battery area at the rear end of the body & that was the problem with the stock body that came with the RTR, it dipped down into the area needed for the big battery, but maybe its past the battery area, i can't be certain, but
atleast its good to know all buggy 8ight body's will fit dispite what version they are & if they are Nitro or Electric :)

Good stuff to know, Thanks Everybody

I answered you with a couple options in your other thread sir… 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

I think I see why you’re asking…. Due to them running a pair of 2s in a row in the race buggy… That’s a strange arrangement to say the least lol…

Of course they use standard, AND metric hardware so….😳🙄🤣 WTF Horizon…

I don’t believe the 3.0 will work considering how much narrower, and shorter it is… The XE RTR “necks down” to the rear about an inch or more before the 3.0 it looks like..
