Do LiFe batteries require a low voltage cut-off?

I want to replace the LiPos in my Merv and was wondering if you need to keep the low voltage cut-off active when using LiFe batteries. Max Amps says no, but they don't say that everywhere.

Thanks guys

I do know that the LiFe packs do run a bit lower voltage, 3.3v per cell versus 3.7v on LiPo, so I'm thinking that the LiPo cutoff points may cut in too soon.

Makes sense. Thanks. Does anybody use MaxAmps LIFE batteries?

LiFe packs do not need a cut off, I have two from maxamps and they stop at around 3v on there own

The LiFe batteries need a charger that is set up to charge that type of battery. The standard LiPo charger won't charge them.

I have a Passport Ultra so the charger is not an issue. I just want to make sure I can turn the low voltage protection off on the esc when I run them.

Thanks all!
