I got a Reedy Quasar Pro charger over a year ago and didnt use it. I think I used it to charge 1 or 2 humps just to check it out. I got a recall notice on it and sent it in to AE to be upgraded. They sent me back another unit that looked as if it had been re manufactured. It was nowhere near the new condition of the one I sent it. I opened up the box to check it out and put it back on the shelf.

Now that I'm converting over to electrics (AE FT TC3) I pulled it out and went to charge a set of 3300s. When I plug it in all I set is gibberish across the screen. I called up the tech support hot line and was told it was past the warrentee period. Thinking maybe I was doing something wrong I brought it to my LHS to be checked out. Yes its bad. I guess I should have checked it out when it came in, my bad. When you lay out large coin for a charger, I guess I expected it to work.

I took a chance and UPSd it to AE with a letter politely asking them to repair it, replace it, or give me credit for another AE product. Lets see what happens. I hope they replace it for me I need a good charger.

I have heard that AE has good CS, lets see how willing they are to help me out. They are well within their rights to tell me to pound sand.

If you get a big goose egg, I would suggest the Pulsar2 Competition or Magma Charger. The magma is nice because it has a dyno built in for your electrics. Both require a power supply since they're 12v units but worth the extra cost! We use both. I am working on a side by side comparison for the site.

Do you have a link for the magma?
I have my eye on a Turbo 35 GFX. I may be able to get one 4 months used for 300-350. If it doesn't pull through, ill be in the market. I still need to see what AE does if anything.

diver is talking about the aps 3 in 1 charging unit. it goes for $150. it's a nice little charger for the track. if you want something that has all the bells and whistles as well as a 30 amp discharge rate i would go for the turbo 35 gfx. i have seen tons of used turbo 35 GFX's for sale at around the $350 range.

go to www.magmarc.com and click on aps for the aps charger. you can purchase the charger from www.speedtechrc.com

your going ALL electric? No more nitro?? At all??? woaahhh...

They should take care of you, if they have any left. I live very near them and have actually gone over to their offices. Very nice people, gave me a tour of the plant. I have had the Quasar pro charger for 4 years and 0 problems.

PS-I am pretty sure Integy made them for Reedy. If no luck from AE, try Integy.
