Well i am finally motivated enough to work on the tmaxx again, after the HUGE disaster night about 3 weeks ago. The source of 90% of my problems was that the diff cups on the hardcore racing diffs i bought were too small to hold my tsais metal driveshaft 'balls'. I tried to replace the diff cup with the ones that i had for the tsais's and those allowed too much play in the pinion gear. (causing the diff to bind up) I tried to shave down the shafts but never got them small enough to fit. THEN the diff cup got stuck on the output shaft of the tranny and the head of the cross bolt snapped off. That got me pissed off enough to just throw everything in a huge bin and wait till what appears to be today, to try and mess with it again.

SO, Does anyone know what type of cvd's i need to fit in these diff cups? i can get a pic up later but are there some that everyone uses and has no problems with????

Have you contacted Hardcore Racing about this? They may be able to help you find a set that will fit.

not totally sure what the deal was. i bought the hardcore racing diffs used so i assumed the cups were HCR as well. I just bought a set of MIP cvd's and everything went together beautifully. I got it all back together and other than some engine tuning problems, its running like a champ.
