alright i have a nitro stampede... i bought a trx 2.5r race motor today new in the box to swap into it...

i went in my room and my little brother took the new motor out of the box and was pulling it over!!! id say he pulled the pullstart probably 100 times before i got up there... is it ruined???

no. it should be perfectly fine.

He was just giving it a head start on break-in, no biggie. I would make sure it's warm before you fire it up the first few times though. If it's super tight he may have put some un-needed stress on the con-rod and pullstarter, but it should be just fine.

Yeah, he didn't do you any favors, but it should be fine to run. They usually lube them at the factory, so it shouldn't have been completely dry.

i pulled off the cylinder head and found no scores or scratches... i guess were alright... i squirted some wd40 in there and pulled it over a couple times to make sure everything was coated... guess were good to go

its like SUPER hard to pull over now...

Heat it up before you start running with a heat gun or hair dryer. That way it will be a little easier to start.

It's because of the increased compression due to the oil in it.
