I bought an RC8T, Futaba 4PK, (2) BLS 351 servos, and a GRR Tuned .21 Buggy Engine (LOSR200oP).

How did I do?

Any recommendations on fluids and oils?

Nice little package you got there!

For the Truggy since it's heavier than the buggies you could go 7-7-5 on the diffs and 35wt front 40wt rear for shocks. That's how I have my truggy set up and it works well for bashing & somewhat rougher terrain. If you plan on racing or bashing on smoother dirt go a little heavier for the diffs. Team Associated's stock diff weight on the truggy RTR's & their race specs are 7-7-7 (5-5-5 on the buggy) which should give you a good baseline to start from.

The basic rule of thumb is smooth track=heavier diffs, bumpy track=lighter. Heavier wheels=thicker diff, lighter wheels=lighter diff

That's a BadA package right there buddy.:thumbup: on the Futaba gear. Those servo's are top top top of the line baby. Very nice! I wanted to put those in my buggy but I just couldnt' justify that much $$. When you are lookin at 2 the difference adds up quick. good for you though!

I'm braggin a little...but..

I wasn't sure about the RC8T. I've watched some good utube reviews and I've always respected TA quality.

The radio kicks ass the servos will be smooth and fast.

Now I have to build it and break in the engine.

Oh, and paint my top. I hate that part. I may pay someone or give it a go myself, I have an airbrush kit.

The RC8T is an awesome truggy for racing, not for the bashing market though.
You will find the GRP a problem, but easily fixed....
First up, buy new bearings. Either go ceramic or use the bearings for the GO PRO .21/.28.
They, suprisingly enough are the choice for upgrade on the GRP.
(air leaks are a BIG problem on ALL the GRP range)
