can someone please solve a disagreement I'm having .what are the differences between .9/1.0/1.1 springs sizes and how the alter the cars feel

Basically the heavier the spring the more the engine will spool up and give more punch on take off.

You also need to take into account what shoes you are running as well. Composite ones tend to bite faster than ally ones.

I run Hong Nor long life ally shoes with 1.1 mugen springs on my RBWS7III and found a balance between take off and accelaration through corners.

The best way is to experiment yourself with different shoe and spring combinations.

the heavier the spring is the longer it takes for the engine to spool up (get the rev's up), this will provide a better take off at the expense of acceleration, and vice a versa for weaker springs.

You have to find a balance between take off and acceleration and the best way to do this is to experiment with different strength sprins.

The material the shoe is made of also makes a difference but that's another story

WOW.....I just got done putting softer springs on my motor (AFTERSHOCK... .26)MT and I get better take off of the line and better mid throttle responce than I did with the heavier springs .....But I guess it all depends on where your motors power band begins and ends. the big block motors tend to give good low Idle power so light springs will capitalize on this. Plus they will stay ingaged through out the power band of the motor.
If you want less torque or wheelie popin take offs the yes heavier springs. but your RPMS will be shorter so top speed will suffer not to mention how fast you get there.

This is my experience with messin around with the springs. SAVAGE THREE SPEED and LOSI AFTERSHOCK TWO SPEED
