This is soo stupid bro, I wish I could just handle you my damn phone and be like you try or show me how to do this lol. I even went to my phone providers store and those people were clueless
 
@WoodiE - can you please look at my last post and see if that is the problem?
I believe the forum will try to convert it. I know we have a lot of Apple users and they are able to upload photos without issue.

@rc-enthusiast if you try to convert the image to a different format, can you then upload photos? You could try https://heictojpg.com/
 
Pretty sure that is the problem. I have problems with those at work because some of them are those apple moving image thingies. Look in your phones camera settings and see if you can save as .JPG files
 
Or turn off the image motion. And make sure it's set to save as a JPEG then. That's why a screen shot works. It's a JPEG. I can crop a photo or screen shot in my album by selecting the icon for editing then use crop. Like you found the pen writing
