EVerything was all peachy keen i was rippin around in front of my house with my hyper 7 and all of the sudden WOT. Right into a house then did a 180 and started heading towards another house but died before it got to it. Why did it die? I'm not complaining or anything but I'm just woundering why it died. No failsafe and brand new batteries. NO parts broken the hyper 7 is a tank.

Lets just hope it didn't die due to engine failure. Check your engine and all else prior to your next run.

Please fit a failsafe. 8lbs of runaway buggy slamming into some kid's ankles at 40mph+ is no joke.

"why did it die" ....maybe you were running lean & when it hit a longer wot run - away
it flamed out

but yeah i dont get why after spending ungodly money on a rc some will not invest $20 in a failsafe ........even a "retard" gets it

Yes people I'm getting a failsafe 2morrow incase anyones woudnering. No it didnt die cuz i did a few passes after it hit a house. I'm not a retartd I'm just slower than most or maybe i took 1 to many puffs of the old :smoke:.
Niggle i hit a house not a kid :) Its not to lean I'm still not even in the 220s yet.

Whatch out for those cheap temp gauges, my $30. gauge reads 30-50 degrees cooler than the actual temp. We did side by side comparisons with my "el-cheapo" and an Exergen temp device, what a differance! Don't rely on those cheap ones!

Yes, I appreciate that that is the case, apologies if it seemed like I was implying that it wasn't. But next time it runs away who knows what it will hit...

Duplicated message? WTF?

Plug could have given out a few seconds after the crash too.
You will have to give your engine a very close look to make sure nothing is ruined.

Failsafe never works right. I have had my buggy running fine and then the failsafe decides to kick in and shut it down. Just use the good old rubber bands around the carb and a throttle return spring. Been running fine for 2 years now. In fact the linkage popped off one time on a jump and the rubber bands shut it down with no problems.

yeah I've had same problems with failsafes, i got one but it sits on the shelf, mind u i only race i dont bash around residential areas

Got it and its working good. Its a venom failsafe. I made sure i set it 2 full brake not full throttle :) . Not a problem niggle.

OFNA buggy basher,
Do not set it to full brakes as you could burn up your throttle/brake servo. Set it to apply a little brakes or even just to bring the engine to idle.
