Hey does anyone own one of those Miss budweiser boats cause i almost got one but i bought an mp3 player instead. it looked super cool what am i missing out on?

The new Miss Budweiser boats have been redesigned. The last version had a problem with cavitation. (air getting stuck around the prop) The new ones are pretty awsome. All the bugs are gone. Do a little research on them, just so you know what to look for, so you don't get the older model.
It had to do with either moving the prop farther forward or backward, but I'm not sure which.
It's a beautiful piece of work.

It was the big guy. I'll try to find out about the 1/12th, if that one had the same problem. Hopefully I'll have that info for you tomorrow.

yeah i wanted the 1/8 too i was planning to buy but i didnt and i wanted to know what i was missing out on?

hi guys
let me 1st say that the hull is a Beautiful peice of work:)
i have a 1/8 mrs bud and love it, great looking hull but heres the kicker as u guys prob alrdy know, hydroplane boats are designed to run oval races, so its all nice right turns, long straights and thats about it, you can turn left but very slighty otherwise you run the risk of tipping her over as the turning fin is on the bottom right of the hull.(gets a bit boring runnin an oval all the time imo). i like the boat alot but if you want to race or run for fun i'd recommend a V-Hull design also allows to run in higher tides (2-3ft waves) and the manuverabilty is superior to the mrs bud. when proboat designed the mrs. bud it was intended as a entry lvl gas hydroplane boat, so its not competitive (top speed 35mph) some tweaking about 40mph from what I've heard. you can prob find a nice used package on ebay for less then what the mrs bud goes for and prob get more top speed out of it too, something like an AC boats hull (very nice) but if you can afford it i say go with a www.Insaneboats.com hull, more money but you get what you pay for (check it out theres a video section with there hulls)
they have the sickest hyrdoplane hull I've seen called the Insane Hydro and checkout the insane cat too.

if anyone is interested i may be selling my 1/8 scale hydro but minus engine, radio and muffler otherwise everything else that comes standard with it. (all the hardware) great shape to. plan on gettin a vhull for next spring. havent decided on a price but it will be fair.. may put her up on ebay if no one here is interested 1st:)

sry for the longpost

I just got the same info from my neighbor, who owns the LHS, about the oval running.
The other info is that it's the 1/12th that had the cavitation problem, NOT the 1/8th.

1/12 INFO lol

Well i had the 1/12 version it was a damn good boat for the $$$.It was sort of a pain to break in but we rigged a water hose to the intake on the head so it worked out great. And after break in we took it out for a few laps. And i would say after 5 passes it gets faster and faster becuase of the fuel gettin lower and lower it really hauls when it gets almost empty. Also with the 1/12th one u gotta make sure the tank is full or elese it won't get up on plane at all. Also it has a very BAD leaking issue.Well i had a runaway with it and i was using the :nono: AM ahhhH :nono: !So the same day i bought a MX-3.Well no the boat is in pices gave it away. lol.I have heard with the 1/12 bud u can drop a K&B .21 motor in it and get a different prop and get speeds up to :OMG: 80Mph.Which is really quick for somthing this size. There was a site just for moddin these boats they made a prop and conversion for the .21.I bet the site is DEAD owell. Also this boat is a blast to drive gotta so down a little doing left turns. But man it turns really sharp to the right which is what i like hydro's for. Cya guys around!

My father in law has one he lives in the south how do you guys get around running the boat in brackish or salt water. I would really like to know because we think he has or nearly has ruined his engine by not flushing it. He bought it because it looked cool. The boat hauls but has not been run in long time. I did notice that the engine has alot of corrosion from the salt water. Is there away to flush the head with fresh water after you use it? Thanks guys
