A sensored brushless motor has an extra wire and plug on it besides the 3 motor wires, it runs to the sensored esc. They tend to run a bit smoother than sensorless, especially at low throttle. Sensorless motors/esc's can "cog" sometimes, which is basically like a studder, until they get going. But they are usually alot cheaper and way more to chose from in the sensorless market.
Just depends on what rig your putting it into really to see if a sensored is a "must have".
