I had the family with me so I knew I wouldn't stay for long but I wanted to see what the Revo would do on the track, It was a nightmare LOL. The track was very hard with a nice coat of dust on it which made for some very interesting driving. Down the straight I had to ease into the throttle are it would spin the tires and get sideways, the corners were a joke. It looked like a bunch of mt's drifting, turn one had a 3 foot burm that I went clean over twice. It was still fun but I need a lot of practice and some serious tuning on the suspension. It didn't help that I installed a Trinity pipe an hour before the race and it gave the Revo a butt load of torque and I didn't have time to adjust the slipper very well. I raced one heat in the novice class and placed 4th out of 6.

I learned very quick that 1/8 buggies are BAD AZZ on a track, I watched some of the better drivers practice and they were flying, those things are unbelievable through the corners! The better mt guys were pretty fast also but they were sliding around too, not as bad as I was but I felt a little better seeing them struggle a little. I had a blast but next time I'm going alone so I can stay for all of the races, also going to try and use Mondays as a practice day when possible. I'll get a few pics of the track if I can make it there tomorrow.

I can't wait to go to my local track to play and watch. I want to get my MGT out there to see how it does. Sounds like a good time.

yeah, I'm the pit man for my friend who runs a T-maxx, and we won the first race, and i guy told us new tires would be better, so we bought new ones, put em on, and he didnt drive worth crap the rest of the day. TOO MUCH control that he wasn't used too.

That is awesome to hear. I tried the Revo one more time and with the 2 speed adjustments to the tranny to bring the shift point on faster helped. The biggest thing that helped me to get more power was replacing the couple on the exhaust. From the top I didn't see it but on the bottom it was torn. Once I replaced it, the rig started doing better. No big wow but I will retune as I didn't have much time this weekend.

I do know that for track surfaces the talons suck. They tend to let the revo slide. I was drifting more than anything elase around the turns. Once I get the Crimefighters on with the 40 series, I will re-try. So far I am waiting. Just for kicks I am going to swap the arms for the RPM ones as well as the axle carriers.

All the drivers at the track say the samething about the surface, hardpacked and has a loose feel to it.

Are you running anyything different on your Revo for the track?

I've been running bowties on my track. They are the only tires that work well, not only for the revo but all the trucks.

Have you guys done the slayden mods? They help bigtime for steering!

A little extra control would have been a very welcome thing LOL

I was running a set of Sporttraxx tires....no traction at all LOL

Got the sheet but haven't done much yet. I want to tune the diffs and shocks. I am liking her more each time. LOL

I'll get the baseline that the pro guys are starting with and start a new thread in the revo section. I've been using it and it works well!

I cut off the stops and the inside of the servo guards.
