I had the family with me so I knew I wouldn't stay for long but I wanted to see what the Revo would do on the track, It was a nightmare LOL. The track was very hard with a nice coat of dust on it which made for some very interesting driving. Down the straight I had to ease into the throttle are it would spin the tires and get sideways, the corners were a joke. It looked like a bunch of mt's drifting, turn one had a 3 foot burm that I went clean over twice. It was still fun but I need a lot of practice and some serious tuning on the suspension. It didn't help that I installed a Trinity pipe an hour before the race and it gave the Revo a butt load of torque and I didn't have time to adjust the slipper very well. I raced one heat in the novice class and placed 4th out of 6.
I learned very quick that 1/8 buggies are BAD AZZ on a track, I watched some of the better drivers practice and they were flying, those things are unbelievable through the corners! The better mt guys were pretty fast also but they were sliding around too, not as bad as I was but I felt a little better seeing them struggle a little. I had a blast but next time I'm going alone so I can stay for all of the races, also going to try and use Mondays as a practice day when possible. I'll get a few pics of the track if I can make it there tomorrow.
