i broke my front skid plate the first day i drove my truck. and i have been trying to find a set of three but i can't find any for the 4908 model. if anyone can give me advice where to get all three skids that'd be greatly appreciated! thnx:D

You SHOULD be able use any skid plate made for the T-Maxx. The only things that change, length wise, is the chassis and the chassis braces. R/C Raven makes a kickin' set of hard anodized skid plates, front, rear and center, for 42.95. http://www.rcraveninc.com/product/TMSUPDEALHA/TMaxx_EMaxx_SMaxx_hard_anodized_aluminum_package_super_deal.html

if you broke, upgrade.. RPM all the way!!

The RPM skids are added to the stockers and do not replace them. So, he would still need a set of stockers first.

I would definitely NOT recommend aluminum for skids, aluminum has it's place on a maxx but the skids are not one of them. They will bend, and when you bend them back the will weaken, this will continue until they are broken too.

I use 4mm Titanium skids on mine, and they are strong as hell, and I have never had a problem since adding them. But if I had it to do over I would most likely go with the RC Solutions spring steel skids. These will bend and absorb impact then spring back to the original shape. I had one on my xxx-nt and it is a great piece. Plus they are much cheaper than the titanium skids.

I was gonna say R/C Solutions, but he asked for a full set..so I neglected to mention it. I have the R/C Raven set on my T-Maxx and I've had no issues with them thus far. You'd think after all the times I've cased it on a jump or came up short or the occasional full throttle run-away into the corner of a build, would really do a number on them, but like I said..I've had no issues thus far..

I have the Rc Solutions on my son's Maxx, they seem to be good.

NC, are you sure on the titanium being 4mm? Holy Cow! you'd never destroy that!

Yep, 4mm. I first bought there 2mm version, and bent them, I contacted them and they replaced them for me with the 4mm ones. I looked on their site and it doesn't look like they sell them anymore. I have them bolted to my RC Solutions bulkheads, also which are no longer made, and the combo has held up great over the years.
