I was out driving my t maxx a few weeks ago and ended up crashing and breaking my front right lower a arm. I decided that I should upgrade my a arms. After some deciding (and some of your good advice) i decided to go with the rpm a arms. I installed them and was running again. Tonight i was drivin the t maxx, hit a curb, and heard a snap. I went over and looked at it. Sure enough it was the same a arm(only the rpm this time) broken in the same place again!!! I guess its a good thing i went with the rpm arms cause of the great warranty.
Anyways, my question is when i send it in, do i need to include anything besides the lower arm that i broke, and my return address? Thanks for your help.

I wonder what the turn around time is on a warranty return with RPM. If your going through that many A arms you might want to buy a second set and rotate them so that when one is out for a warranty replacement you can still install one on your maxx. Since you broke the same exact A-arm you might want to check to see if something else is wrong.

I see your in cali but is it cold where you are?? Cold is notorious for making all kinds of plastic more brittle.

Just send them a note of what happened along with the broken product only. They will replace it free of charge :)

Call them first and maybe they will ship to you at the same time you are sending yours out.

Thanks for the info on that!
Msly: luckily i do have a replacement and switched it out yesterday when the other broke. Hopefully it wont happen to the same one again. Also i live by San Fransisco, so it is not extremely cold here. I think it was just my bad driving.:lick: Thanks again for your help

You need to find a larger place to bash :hammer:
We all remember the first weeks / months of learning. I still chuckle at some of my old videos.

RPM is a good product and will treat you well.

I was going to upgrade the A-Arms on my maxx to the Supermaxx arms but screw that. I'm running RPM arms now and I've had a couple minor accidents since with no probs. RPM is tops in my book.

You definitley need to get a bigger area to bash with if possible and I would look into adjusting your toe-in toe-out (allignment) and camber for better control.

Peace

That's crazy about breaking the a-arm. Man, I've had some nasty wrecks and never EVER broken anything RPM. I'm still 100% an RPM fan.... I'm sure they'll send you a replacement no problem!

Yeah, as long as i get the replacement its not a problem. I guess that is why i went with the RPM A Arms. You gotta love their guarantee.
When i first broke my stock a arm i thought i need to go to somewhere bigger to bash. I was acutally in a parking lot which was pretty big. It was wet and i was having a blast sliding around in it, until i slid right into the curb. Oh Well i guess ill just have to be more carefull next time.

Life time on everything but the wear plates. It would be more limited depending on how much that have worn.

Even the wear plates are covered. IF THEY BREAK! Not if you wear them down to 1/16th of an inch thick.

All RPM parts are guarenteed against breakage, not the ultimate wearing down to nothing.

Thanks for bringing that up.

I bounced my cybermaxx off the top of an 8' high 1/4 pipe ramp and fell on bare concrete, breaking an RPM arm at the Hobby visions show in Vegas last month. I took it off and walked about 100 yards down the lane to the RPM booth, and they replaced it on the spot. They tried to claim that falling 10+feet onto concrete wasn't normal use! But they did it for me because they were amazed at the nicks and dings and even a bend in it from the year of HARD time I put it through. Heck, I could fill a museum with amazingly manged stuff, and RPM arms are the best.

I just bought all new RPM arm for my Maxx 2day.

You won't regret it bro and who's gonna give you free replacements if they break no questions asked..no one other then RPM. I'm glad I didn't cough up the big bucks for heavier UE or other metal arms and I now I wouldn't run anything other then RPM.

Just to let you all know. Within about a week of when i sent my broken a arm in, i got a package in the mail. It was my brand new a arm. You gotta love that warranty.
